About us
Our lunch club meets every Wednesday (during term time) from 12 noon until around 1.30pm in the Parish Centre’s Meeting Hall, and is open to anyone of retirement age. Costing £4.00, diners enjoy a two-course meal, tea/coffee, biscuits and lively conversation! There’s a nice balance of men and women and new diners are always welcome. We usually cater for around 25 people each week.
If you live within the St Chad’s Church parish we are also able to pick diners up from their home and deliver them back; unfortunately we can’t offer transport for those who live beyond this area but they are still welcome to join us.

VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS NEEDED!
We have a great team of people who help with transport (if they have a car), washing up and serving food for a couple of hours on a Wednesday… but we are always looking for more! Helpers on our rota usually volunteer once a month, but you can do as much or as little as you want. It’s a great way to help older people enjoy a weekly social time with nice food and good conversation, and there’s always time to chat with the diners if that’s something you enjoy.
